Michael Tarzian
Founder, CEO
Michael is a NABCEP certified solar professional who studied graduate-level renewable energy engineering at Arizona State University. After obtaining his degrees, Michael relocated to New York where he began a career in solar. His extensive experience in solar PV engineering has helped him lead teams of engineers in the design and fabrication of projects ranging from 50kW to 50MW.
Over Michael’s career, he has managed and overseen the construction of solar projects totalling over 200 megawatts of power.
Meredith Chesney
Head of Design
Meredith has a diverse background in design and engineering, from curating plans to assisting with construction support. She leads cross-functional teams to deliver efficient, code-compliant, and high-performing solar solutions across commercial and utility-scale projects.
Meredith is passionate about driving innovation, improving design workflows, and implementing scalable engineering standards. Her focus is on delivering reliable clean energy solutions that meet both client goals and long-term sustainability objectives.
Jake Leslie
Chief Construction Officer
Jake serves as our Chief Construction Officer, bringing 25 years of experience in the construction industry. Jake has a deep and well-rounded understanding of both field operations and executive leadership. Jake’s background as a residential and commercial electrician has given him a strong technical and tactile foundation in the industry. The past 12 years of his career have been focused in the solar sector, where he played a key role in delivering residential and commercial energy solutions.
Jake will oversee construction strategy, execution, and team development across the organization.
Christopher John Mackin
Lead Construction Technician
Christopher John Mackin is Lead Construction Technician at Iron Energy. Chris is responsible for installing and maintaining solar systems specialising in data collection. He has over a decade of experience in installing and repairing a full spectrum of residential and business services, including: Television and Phone services, Internet and Metro Ethernet services and Xfinity systems.
Chris’s commitment to excellence is reflected in his projects at Iron Energy.
Donna Heater
Lead Expeditor
Donna is the Lead Expeditor at PhRGD, where she manages the permitting and interconnection process for solar projects from initial submission through approval. Since joining the team in 2024, she has played a key role in keeping projects organized, compliant, and moving forward by coordinating closely with engineers, utilities, and local jurisdictions.
With a background in administrative operations and real estate, Donna brings a high level of attention to detail, and client-focused communication to every project.
Driven by a growing passion for renewable energy, Donna is proud to support the development of solar projects.
Seana Parker
Chief Expeditor
Seana is the results-driven Expediter at PHRGD, specializing in bridging the gap between solar engineering and municipal approval. She excels at transitioning designs from paper to power through a goal-oriented approach that keeps project timelines on track. By navigating complex local bureaucracies with a personable touch, Seana builds the vital relationships with city officials that keep our engineering team efficient and our customers' projects moving forward without delay.
